During a press conference at the state Capitol on March 22, Rep. Glen Grell (R-Hampden Township) joined local community groups in calling upon the speaker and legislative leaders in the House to bring House Bill 169 to the floor for a vote. This proposal would update the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, which has been unchanged since its enactment in 1988.

In an attempt to avoid a repeat of this year’s budget stalemate and to encourage the state House to pass a budget on time next year, Rep. Glen Grell (R-Cumberland) today introduced legislation that would require the Speaker of the House Keith McCall (D-Carbon) to establish a Commission on Budgetary Reform. As proposed in the resolution, the commission would recommend significant changes to the annual budget process in the House.
